The team had two semesters Junior year to make a VR Prototype. The brief was given by Sony UK and we were tasked with trying to find a solution to common issues with playing in VR. We chose to tackle discomfort with 3rd person cameras. We made a prototype we call Terrible Teddy. Personally, I contributed as a designer and as out art producer.
Two kids stop playing with their stuffed teddy bear. The Bear comes alive and seeks to get the kids attention by destroying various items around the house. The mother is the only one home and will catch Teddy if he is in her line of sight.
For this prototype I assisted with the overall gameplay as well as conceptualizing solutions to the brief. I also created a simple level layout for the solutions we eventually implemented.
Myself and two artist made up the art team for this project. I mainly led the team as our art producer. Setting up tasks/meetings and making sure we communicated. This was crucial as the other artist spoke English as a second language.
